I love setting my camera to the perfect aperture and shutter speed, hearing that click of the camera shutter closing and opening, and seeing a beautiful photo with smiling faces showing on the screen. When photographing school events like sports games, performing arts, and school-wide assemblies, my favorite photos are the ones where a person’s dimple is as deep as can be as they laugh at a friend’s joke or the focused moment between two classmates doing face paint before a spirit assembly. These very human parts of our everyday lives keep us grounded, and being able to capture those moments forever is something I truly treasure. On this page, I share my process for taking a few feature photos and display a selection of other photographs.

I really enjoy getting to take my time with environmental portraits and ensuring the lighting, composition, and subject can all come together exceptionally.
